Userscript not running: turn on Allow User Scripts

Please enable developer mode to allow userscript injection.
Why it happens
Chrome only lets userscript managers run scripts after you allow it. Before Chrome 138 that was the Developer mode switch. From Chrome 138 it is a separate Allow User Scripts switch on each manager’s Details page. ChatGPT usually still says Developer mode.
The fix
- You do this Open chrome://extensions, click Details on Tampermonkey (or Violentmonkey) and turn on Allow User Scripts. On Chrome 137 or older, turn on Developer mode instead.
- rightsocket does this Fixes the script itself so it runs once the switch is on (header, @match, @grant).
What changed, and when
- 24 July 2025, Chrome: From Chrome 138, userscript managers need the Allow User Scripts switch on their Details page. Before 138 it was the Developer mode switch.
