Adapter for code ChatGPT wrote
ChatGPT’s code has the wrong plug.
ChatGPT learned from older code, so it often writes for versions your browser or app no longer runs. Paste it here. It gets refitted for what you have, packaged, and comes with install steps.
Fits Windows · Mac · Chrome · phoneWhy ChatGPT’s code doesn’t fit
- It learned from older code. Most of the code ChatGPT saw was written years ago, so it reaches for versions that have since changed: Chrome extensions on Manifest V2, Discord bots on discord.js v13.
- It leaves out the boring parts. Icons it mentions but never makes, a userscript header without a path, a token pasted straight into the code.
- It can’t install anything for you. It tells you to “load it unpacked” or “run npm install”, and stops there. The steps below each result are for your actual device.
Plugs it fits today
- Chrome extensionPaste the extension ChatGPT wrote. Manifest version 2 is updated to 3, broken JSON and missing icons are fixed, and you download a zip ready for Load unpacked.
- UserscriptPaste the script ChatGPT wrote. The header, @match and @grant lines are fixed so Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey or the iPhone Userscripts app actually runs it.
- Discord botPaste the bot ChatGPT wrote. Old discord.js v12/v13 code is updated to v14, the Message Content intent is added, and your token is moved to a .env file.
- BookmarkletPaste JavaScript from ChatGPT and get a bookmark that runs it on any page. Drag it to your bookmarks bar, or follow the phone steps for iPhone and Android.
